HISTORY OF THE TRIANGLE TRUST
The original objects of The Triangle Trust was to provide Medical Equipment for use at the Medical Centre in Stoke sub Hamdon. In 1989 the surgery often required equipment either the Practice Partners or the NHS couldn’t afford. Over the past 30 years a considerable amount of funds have been raised for the Medical Centre and equipment bought- known to be in excess of £100,000.
The Trustees and Committee decided to celebrate their 25 years by organising a 25th Anniversary Appeal to enable the Trust be taken to another level and given a firmer financial footing. The Appeal brought in just over £30,000 and as at the Autumn of 2021, the Trust now has a healthy balance sheet.

RECENT YEARS
In 2018, following the retirement of the Senior Partner, Dr Roger Bulley the Surgery became incorporated within Symphony Healthcare Services Limited, a company owned by Yeovil District Hospital NHS Foundation.
This brought a different dimension the the Surgery as the running of the surgery was taken out of ‘private hands’ and was owned by a Limited Company.
In the summer of 2021, The Trustees of The Triangle Trust consulted the Charity Commission to get a ruling regarding the continued purchasing of equipment for a Limited Company.
The advice they received clearly set out, the beneficiaries of the Charity are always the patients and not Symphony Healthcare Services Limited.
Therefore all future requests for equipment has to be carefully scrutinised and requests clearly defined.
